I know the debate is sort of a big thing right now.. I personally don't think we should do one or the other.. I think the best option is to use both as and when needed.
I don't think I can use Eco with brand new White Belts. I think it requires a base knowledge in order to be worked properly. Just my opinion. I do love Eco tho. So when I plan on doing Eco and I find that I have a brand new White Belt in class, I might spend a few minutes explaining some tips on what I want them do try to accomplish. Doesn't have to be a full on "class".
Something else you can do is sit with that group during the games and coach them a little.
I mainly use the Constraints-Led Approach when I teach, and I find that the main problem I face is language.
I don't necessarily use complicated words, but sometimes I struggle to explain a particular scenario to someone who is not at all familiar with it.
