Technique Tuesday
Technique Tuesday is a weekly series where I share one principle, detail, or concept that can sharpen your Jiu-Jitsu. Instead of long instructionals, these are quick, practical breakdowns you can take straight to the mats.
Each post includes:
One core technique or principle explained in clear, actionable terms
A training tip or prompt you can focus on that week
The goal is simple: give you something concrete to improve your game every Tuesday, while tying it into the bigger picture of growth both on and off the mats.

An Attacking Back Escape
I love these options over the tradition Back Escape.
It forces your opponent to have to address offensive threats from a position where they almost always feel safe. That threat, will make your opponent almost second guess everything they’re doing, giving you time to pursue the submissions if you have a good bite, or continue on with the escape itself.
Final Thoughts
There’s nothing wrong with the traditional escapes, but if you want to add a little spice to them, try these out.
