Three Thoughts from This Week
I’ve been Mufflered
So for months I’ve been Mufflering my students for shits and giggles. It’s legitimately one of my favorite things to do. Well.. A student of mine finally had enough of my bullshit and decided to do it back to me… I feel so betrayed.
Omoplatas and Armbars!
I recently fell back in love with Omoplata and the mounted Armbar. I’m hitting both relatively often these days. The mounted Armbar has become an interesting focus. I’ve been playing with pulling at and controlling the far arm in order to attack the near side arm. Hard to explain, but I’ll be doing some videos on that soon.
It’s been pretty interesting element to develop for me.
The Practitioner’s Journal
Just purchased The Practitioner’s Journal. My hope is to keep track of what I’m teaching, learning, and what I’m focusing on during my Open Mat rolls. I’ll be doing a review soon.
So far, it’s made beautifully. Excellent quality.
