Weekly Thoughts, Mistakes, and Accomplishments In Bjj

Three Thoughts from This Week
Competition Brackets Update
Unfortunately, there’s still no one in my division. I am by no means upset, as this entire process has been so much fun for me. It’s allowed me to plug into a different pace and intensity that I haven’t felt in a while.
It taught me that I can balance my own pursuits while being an instructor a bit better. Moving forward, I think I will structure a class or two a week in my favor.
Lastly, I’m hovering around 190-191 pounds throughout the week, which I know has been a healthier weight for me.
Feeling Thankful
With Thanksgiving having just passed, I sometimes thinkin about the opportunities that I’ve been afforded. While I may have fallen short of my seminar goal, I’m thankful to be part of the community at three separate gyms.
I’m currently working on scheduling a class for SDPD potentially in December.
It’s been a great year and am looking forward to seeing what else I can get done next year.
Student Goals
I am looking to travel up to Gracie Redlands maybe once a quarter for a few days to train with Marcus Norat. I haven’t had a dedicated instructor in a few years and want to get back into getting some regular feedback and guidance.
My plan is to go up there maybe on a Wednesday and come back by Friday.
