Weekly Thoughts, Mistakes, and Accomplishments In Bjj

Three Thoughts from This Week
I Had To Cancel..
After some deep conversations with my wife, I decided to cancel my appearance at Bjj Mental Models Spring Camp. I’ve been excited about this camp since I went last year.
I was invited back as a instructor and had been counting down the days until I was there again in official capacity. Unfortunately with everything going on in the country, we’ve decided that it wasn’t worth the potential worry that it would cause at home. So I canceled.
If you’re interested in my thoughts on the subject, I released the following episode explaining my decision.
Atos Drama
It recently came to light that there are some very heavy accusations being issued against Andre Galvao and Atos Jiu-Jitsu. While I won’t speak specifically to the rumors, it really pains me to have to broach the subject.
As leaders of academies and in the culture, it is our job to project those that have entrusted us with their safety. Anything other than this is a massive disservice to what this profession is supposed to stand for.
We need to do better.
Our Biggest Month!!
Tapped In: A Jiu-Jitsu Podcast just had it’s biggest month to date. January had 834 downloads, a 63% increase from the month of December.
This passion project has been so much fun to do every week. I get to record whenever the motivation hits me, do very minor edits, and schedule the release. It’s made specifically for your commute and comes form a genuine place of love. I want to help people understand the art of Jiu-Jitsu.
If you’ve liked the podcast please like, share, review, and comment. It genuinely goes a long way in helping us grow.
