
I recently decided to cover takedowns for a few weeks at our morning class. I find that it changes things up and allows my students to focus exclusively on that specific element of Jiu-Jitsu.
Considering that we’re limited on time and the majority of my students are thirty plus years old, I decided to touch on techniques that were a bit simpler and land on the safer side.
My students will never be Jodokas or wrestlers, I just need them to feel comfortable enough to hold their own with a few techniques that they can really commit to.
