Look, this is going to sound really silly and I own it.
One of my goals this year is to celebrate my wins, no matter how silly I may feel they are. I got 3rd place in our DawnBreaker Fantasy Football League after drafting McCaffrey 1st overall. The man played maaaaaybe two games this whole season before getting injured again.
It was a rough season to say the least, but I crawled back into contention and ended up sneaking into the playoffs with a .500 record at the very end of the season.
Now, I get that it's SUPER silly to go out of your way to buy yourself a cheap 3rd place ring.. but if Craig Jones can make a whole vibe out of coming in 2nd, I can do it for 3rd.
The league has a homemade belt that gets passed to the champion every year and they also get the championship ring from Buffalo Wild Wings.
Me being me, I felt I owed it to myself to reward and celebrate my own accomplishment here. So, I got one off the internet. It was twenty-five dollars well spent. The wife thought it was silly and obviously it was and is… but the laugh I got at class when I wore it, was priceless.

How does this translate over to Jiu-Jitsu? Simple.
Jiu-Jitsu is made up of quite a few tiny wins grouped together to accomplish our bigger goals.
Celebrate the following:
The amount of times that you made it to class.
That you escaped a bad position.
When you pull off that one sweep you’ve been working on.
When you were submitted one less time than you usually do.
These small wins will build habits and momentum. Don’t ignore them, don’t downplay them, just build on each one of them.
